Swinging around

For Tyson’s birthday, we decided to take him out to the Kids Festival. And what’s a Kids Fest with only one kid? So, we had Cody and Reina (with their mom) venture out for the day.

Kids Fest was really fun for all of us. We had the chance to stop by the imagination station to build some drums, makes some kites, and best of all, watch the Capoera show. Both nephews were having a blast during the show. I don’t think I’ve ever seen
Cody sit so still for so long before.

Since, it was Tyson’s birthday, we let him guide us through the day: we went to dinner, had some birthday cupcakes, and topped it off with a little icecream from Casa Gelato.

With the day being so beautiful–even though it was cold–we decided to hit up the park playground close by. The boys, including me, got to be a bunch of monkeys.

Building a Sand Empire

Here is a set of the little guy building his sand empire. He had help from his cousin, who was in charge of irrigation.

Cody <3 Camp Sasamat

This is Cody’s second Family Camp, but the first he has been able to roam around freely. Cody spent the day playing in the sand, fishing for plants, collecting sticks, popping bubbles, singing camp songs, and eating marshmallows. It was very cute to watch him enjoy such simple things with reckless abandonment.

Cody and the lime

Cody eating a lime photobooth style

While we were at Latitude on Main for my birthday dinner, we took quite a few photos (naturally) of everyone–especially our nephew and niece.  How can you not? They are so cute at their ages.

This series of photos always brings a smile to our faces, so I thought we would share it with everyone. Looking at it always made me think of those photo booths that used to populate all the malls everywhere. Of course it wouldn’t be right if it weren’t black and white.

Hope it brings a smile to your face too and let us know if you like it or not.

Lina and I would like to thank everyone that was involved in our wedding.

From those people that helped decorate and organize, those people who were able to attend, and those people who were not able to attend but sent us congratulatory wishes: Thank you!

We had a great time at our wedding and we hope you did too.  It’s hard to believe that the wedding took place over 6 months ago.
